Deep Justice for a Broken World

It doesn't take a long list of statistics to convince you that our world is broken. Often, we feel bad and try to help, like putting a band-aid on a gaping wound. But it's time for the church to explore what deep justice might look like -- a justice that not only rights the wrongs, but asks how we can make a difference beyond today.
Financial Peace University
Sundays: 6:00-7:30 PM in the Upper Room #204

Cost: $45
This 13-session class designed by Dave Ramsey teaches practical ways to eliminate debt, invest in the future, and achieve financial goals. The class will meet each Sunday evening beginning January 22 at Community Church. The cost to attend is $45 (preregistration required by January 16). Prayer Shawl Group (this group does not meet in the summer months)

This ministry began with a group of women who participated in the first Women's Leadership Institute at Hartford Seminary. One of the members began knitting "healing shawls" from women who were undergoing treatment for breast cancer and other illnesses. This ministry has taken off and now these wonderful gifts of love can be found all over the country.

WALKING WITH GOD IN THE DESERT -- a DVD lesson series by Ray VanderLaan

Women's Monday Evening Bible Study (LOL Bible Study)
Studying Beth Moore's LIVING BEYOND YOURSELF
Monday Evenings: 6:45-8:15 PM in the Fireside Room #209

This is a repeat of the evening Bible study which focuses on the fruits of the spirit. Through Beth Moore's passionate writing and teaching, Beth provides biblical instruction from the book of Galatians, emphasizing Galatians 5:22-23. The class will run from March 26 - June 11 (with the exception of Memorial Day, May 28).
The atmosphere is casual ... invite a friend!
